How do I uninstall and remove Smartbox programs?

All Smartbox programs can be uninstalled at any time via the Programs and Features area inside Windows Control Panel. 

Note: this will not remove your licence from the device, if you need to reuse your licence key on a new device, please fill out the form here: https://thinksmartbox.com/licence-reset/ 

It is also recommended to take a backup of any user data you wish to keep, as the uninstall process will wipe this data.  

1. Close any Smartbox software.  

2. Open the Windows Start menu (4 white squares in the corner) and select Settings (the cog symbol). 

3. Browse to Apps and select Programs and Features below the Related settings category on the first page that loads. 

4. Find the Smartbox software you want to uninstall (in this case Grid 3) in the list shown and select to highlight it. 

5. Select Uninstall from the top of the list. 

The uninstaller for your chosen software will then open. Follow the instructions on screen to complete the uninstall process. 

In some cases, you may wish to completely remove all traces of Smartbox Software from your device. The uninstall process will remove the bulk of data, but some files and folders need to be removed manually from within Windows File Explorer. 

Note: this is not recommended if you are only removing one Smartbox title (e.g. just Grid 3) but want to leave other software titles installed. Removing the folders will remove ALL Smartbox data, and will leave all Smartbox titles inaccessible. 

The folders that need to be removed are:  

• C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Sensory Software 
• C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Smartbox 
• C:\Program Files\Sensory Software 
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Sensory Software 
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Smartbox  

Once these folders are removed, all Smartbox data will be cleansed from the device.
