What are the minimum device requirements to run Grid 3?

Grid 3 will run on most Windows devices that meet the minimum specifications below. This includes devices from other suppliers, not just Smartbox systems.

Operating system Windows 7 SP1, 8, 8.1, 10 or 11 (Windows S mode is not supported)

Notes on operating systems: 

  • Windows 10 and 11 – S mode users will need to upgrade to Home or Pro for Grid 3 to be installed. 
  • Windows 7 – Reached end-of-life in January 2020 and is no longer supported by Microsoft. We will continue to support Grid 3 on Windows 7 devices for as long as feasibly possible.
  • Windows 8 – Reached end-of-life in January 2016 and is no longer supported by Microsoft. We will continue to support Grid 3 on Windows 8 devices for as long as feasibly possible.
